Exemptions for German UAS operators conducting a swarm operation for the purpose of a light show in the specific category
For drone light shows in the specific category, it is still not necessary to equip every unmanned aircraft with a green flashing light due to the extended exemption granted by the Federal Aviation Authority. The reason for this is that it would contradict the purpose of the drone light show.
Similarly, due to possible interference during the operation of the drone swarm, it is not necessary to equip each unmanned aircraft with a remote identification system. It is sufficient to use at least one active and up-to-date remote identification system during the light show.
