Entry into geographical areas
Applications for flights within geographical areas are the responsibility of the national aviation authorities. The responsibility depends on the respective place of flight. The table below lists the State Aviation Authorities with the respective documents required for the application.
An application is divided into a general licence and an individual permission, depending on the national aviation authority. The general licence granted in principle is valid for a certain period of time, usually two years. Depending on the federal state, different requirements must be fulfilled. An individual permission is required for use beyond the scope of the general permission, especially if special conditions are required. The individual permission is local, purpose-bound and limited in time.
